Do-it-yourself (DIY): All Murphy Bed Depot cabinet systems come with all the hardware you need. Using CNC routers, the wood parts come pre-drilled, making your assembly very do-able with some basic hand tools. Stronger Than Your Average Cabinet: Because it is built with 3/4" thick commercial-strength particle board and a thermally fused melamine surface, your cabinet will be one of your most durable pieces of furniture. This stuff is made to last, and meets or exceeds several ANSI technical standards. It's so easy to clean, we simply bring along some window cleaner and paper towels on our local installs. Scratch resistance is melamine's middle name.

Outstanding Quality, Value and Service

Murphy Bed Depot is an world class company with outstanding quality, value and service. Zac, Jessica and April did an amazing job of answering my questions and assisting me with the proper size selection and model. I purchased the Horizontal Daytona Panel Bed in June of 2020. Shortly thereafter the bed was installed in my home by a wonderful young couple who provided excellent service. They took great care to leave their shoes in the outer hallway as well as ensuring zero damage was done to my home, as they brought the bed into the home and navigated a tight stairway. They both wore masks the entire time (about 3 hours) to keep everyone safe, as the install occurred during COVID-19. It has been about four months and I love the bed. It is one of the best investments I have ever made. I wholeheartedly recommend the Murphy Bed Depot as a highly reputable and ethical business. Yes, our complete St Augustine, Daytona, Bahama Shaker, and Sofa and Panel Bed Ensemble Murphy Panel Bed systems are available in king size.
Are your products available in horizontal king size or California king size?
Our products are NOT available in horizontal king size or California king size.
Are your complete Murphy Panel Bed systems able to be modified to be shorter than the dimensions listed on the product’s webpage?
Yes, you can install your complete Murphy Panel Bed system below the top (instead of above the top, which is the optimal installation method) and modify your order to shorten the total cabinet height by 3,” removing the top valance for a modification fee of $150 per cabinet. You can also modify your order for our complete queen-size Murphy Panel Bed system to shorten the total cabinet height by 5” to be a short queen (RV short queen) for a modification fee of $150 per cabinet, which requires a short queen mattress (you can order this 10” Medium Memory Foam Mattress in the short queen size).
What mattress would you recommend for your complete Murphy Panel Bed systems?
The 10” Medium Memory Foam Mattress that you can order from us works well in all of our complete Murphy Panel Bed systems.
Will my mattress work with your complete Murphy Panel Bed systems?
Yes, your mattress can work with our complete Murphy Panel Bed systems if it passes the following tests. First, if you can physically measure your mattress thickness (at its thickest point), both when it is lying down or standing on end, and that thickest measurement is 11” or less. Second, if when you stand your mattress on end, it stands up rigid without sagging or doubling over. We do NOT recommend latex and hybrid mattresses. Our 10” Medium Memory Foam Mattress has been put to these tests and passed both of these tests working very well with our complete Murphy Panel Bed systems.
