Great Delivery, Easy to put together, Works Great!
The delivery went well, they brought it in and took all the packing with them! We watched the video on how to set it up and building it was very easy as long as you watched the video and looked at the instructions. And, now that we have it setup it works great! It’s very sturdy and looks great!!
Difficult to assemble, works very well.
The installation was difficult due to poorly written assembly instructions. The assembly video is also poorly done. You see two people assembling the bed with a narration as to what is happening. The narrator specifies something that is never shown being done. In addition, the written instructions and the video differ in how many springs should be used for a queen size bed. Luckily what I chose is working for me. The assembly instructions would benefit greatly if there was a simple drawing showing the relationship of the different parts. I had to try several iterations before I was sure I had the top of the assembly oriented correctly. There is also an issue with clearance between the ceiling and the top of the frame. If you have a low ceiling room, as with a drop ceiling in a basement room, you may not have enough room to attach to the wall. You must be able to get your hand and a drill between the top of the bed assembly and the ceiling. Beware that once you attach the springs you will have to disassemble everything in order to add or remove springs, that is the frame will have to be removed from the wall to allow enough space to do this. I had determined that I would just cut off a spring if there were too many. All this being said, once the assembly was completed, it worked like a dream. It is very easy to pull down and lift to put back. I was a bit surprised by the finish in that the closed panel protrudes from the frame with a visible gap, almost like a cabinet door that is partially open. Even with this issue we are very happy with the finished unit. It takes up very little space. The bed is made up and ready to use, we just pull down on the handle, flip the foot support and we have an instant bedroom. It appears to be well made and should last a long time.
Thank you for your feedback. We have taken your advice and added more drawings to the instructions, showing the relationship between the different parts. I'm happy to hear the bed works well in your space and that you now have an instant bedroom for years to come!
