I bought this combo after looking at a bunch of alternatives on the mega websites. I picked this one because the desk extended out further than any of the other ones I found online. I am so glad I made this purchase! The photos/ video on the website do not do it justice. First, when it arrived, it was shipped in a solid wooden crate (not those flimsy cardboard boxes you get from the big stores). All the parts were carefully packed, padded and protected in their packaging. There was a lot of care and pride taken even in the packaging! Everything was well organized, and the instructions while not perfect were relatively easy to follow and contain useful tips to help you avoid assembly headaches. All of the hardware is very solid and high quality. The construction and design is good/ well thought through, the tolerances and the predrilled hole locations were all spot on. It took me awhile to assemble (did it mostly by myself). I really only needed a helper for a few minutes a couple times during the assembly process (when lifting the cabinet into place, placing the frame into the cabinet, and attaching the desk to the bed). It was pretty nice I could do most of this alone. I wasn't sure the desk would be useful for day to day tasks (I have a full time job plus a couple side gigs), but it is a very good work desk. I wasn't sure if I would like the ledge at the back of the desk, but it is actually really handy for placing phones, cups, pens, etc.. And, all assembled, the Murphy's bed desk combo it is an attractive, quality piece of furniture. If you are on the fence, get this! I'm so glad I purchased from this small, family-owned business and would definitely do so again. (I am thinking about adding one of their modular shelving/ cabinet units onto one side.)

We knew when we moved we would need a bedroom/office without crowding it full of furniture. We had two Murphy bed/ desk combos in our last home and it was a perfect solution for us. The design offered and finished product was better that I expected. The panels on the doors and drawers makes the room look more customized and blends with the other areas of the home’s cabinets. It as easy to work with the ordering process, and suggested changed we’re spot on. The craftsman who installed the unit was on time and a perfectionist. Everything was delivered and installed in one day. Don’t want to move again but would definitely use this excellent family owned company again.
