This murphy bed is amazing! I needed to convert a third bedroom into an office/guestroom and this completely fits the bill. It's very stylish but practical with plenty of storage. Assembly: two or more people need to plan on spending ample time to put this together. It took my husband and I about 24 hours total over two weekends. We didn't try to tackle it all in one day and I cannot say enough times - follow the instructions to a tee! Don't skip around. Take your time and label each piece first - it is an absolute must! My only suggestion would be for Murphy Bed Depot to label each piece prior to shipping as they are picking and packaging the parts. It would save the purchasers a lot of time and potential aggravation.

I could not be more satisfied with my Deluxe Majestic Library Bed. The customer service reps were extremely knowledgeable and promptly responsive by phone and email, addressed my million questions with patience and grace, and provided invaluable advice and guidance throughout the ordering process. The estimated ship date was accurate. Customer service were in touch with updates until the bed was shipped. They even helped me find a local installer, who was also wonderful. The bed is intelligently designed, highly functional, and looks great. The amount of storage is unbelievable. I was able to fit an 8” mattress, a feather bed, bedding, a down comforter, and four pillows inside, creating more space and reducing clutter in my condo. I’ve been recommending this company to everyone I know. If all businesses conducted themselves as well as Murphy Bed Depot, the world would be a better place :-)

I was feeling overwhelmed when reading the instructions for assembly. Before I embarked on getting started I made a phone call to Aaron at the store and he was very helpful. Like he said, follow each step of the instructions including laying it out like it says and you will be fine. The quality is great and the bed is exactly what we envisioned for the space we needed it.

solid piece and gorgeous
this murphy bed is solid and gorgeous. I give it an overall rating of 5 for that. my boyfriend who put it together would probably give the instructions for building a 3 and some of the screws that came with it a 3, they were not the quality he wanted for the job so he got his own. communication from the company was fabulous and I think the price for this murphy bed/library combo piece is really great.

Are your complete Murphy Library Bed systems available in king size?
Our complete Murphy Library Bed systems are NOT available in king size.
What is the weight rating for the shelves in your complete Murphy Library Bed systems?
Our complete Murphy Library Bed systems have different shelf weight ratings. All of the shelves on our
complete Boaz BiFold Bookcase Murphy Bed systems and the shallower shelves on the sliding bookcases of
our complete Majestic Library Bed systems can hold up to about 10 pounds per shelf. The deeper shelves
on the fixed side cabinets of our complete Majestic Library Bed systems can hold up to about 40 pounds
per shelf.
Can your complete Murphy Library Bed systems be modified to be shorter or narrower and not need the
wall space dimensions shown in the “Size Guide?”
Our complete Murphy Library Bed systems are NOT able to be modified to be shorter or narrower than the
“Size Guide,” and the height listed in the “Size Guide” includes the extra height needed above the
cabinet(s) to install properly.
Is there something similar to your complete Majestic Library Bed systems which we can order that needs
less wall width?
Yes, you can order our complete Boaz BiFold Bookcase Murphy Bed system, which needs much less wall
width. For a modification fee, starting at about $500, you can also modify your order to have 17” deep
side cabinets that are no wider than when our complete Boaz BiFold Bookcase Murphy Bed system is
completely open (twin/single: 70” wide; double/full: 92” w: queen: 101” w) for even more shelves/space.
You can even have doors on the lower parts of the cabinets, similar to the complete Majestic Library
Bed systems.
How many adjustable shelves do your complete Murphy Library Bed systems have (is there an adjustable
shelf behind the doors in your complete Majestic Library Bed: Supreme & Deluxe systems)?
The upper two shelves and the shelf above the bottom of the shelved cabinets (behind the doors of our
complete Majestic Library Bed: Supreme & Deluxe systems) in our complete Murphy Library Bed systems are
adjustable. The bottom and second “shelf” (horizontal partition) above the bottom of the shelved
cabinets in our complete Murphy Library Bed systems are NOT adjustable. Our complete Murphy Library Bed
systems have 16 adjustable shelves with eight (8) non-adjustable “shelves” (four (4) horizontal
partitions and four (4) bottoms).
What mattress would you recommend for your complete Murphy Library Bed systems?
The 10” Medium Memory Foam Mattress that you can order from us works well in all of our complete Murphy
Library Bed systems.
Will my mattress work with your complete Murphy Library Bed systems?
Yes, your mattress can work with our complete Murphy Library Bed systems if it passes the following
tests. First, if you can physically measure your mattress thickness (at its thickest point), both when
it is lying down or standing on end, and that thickest measurement is 10” or less. Second, if when you
stand your mattress on end, it is rigid enough to stand without sagging or doubling over. We do NOT recommend
latex and hybrid mattresses. Our 10” Medium Memory Foam Mattress has been put to these tests and passed
both of these tests, working very well with our complete Murphy Library Bed systems.
Can we order hardware and one of your Murphy Bed Frames so that we can DIY cut, build, and install our
own wood cabinetry to DIY make something similar to your complete Majestic Library Bed system?
